What do we do with your personal data?

By applying for an open vacancy at EUMETSAT you entrust us with some of your personal data which will be registered and saved in our Applications Database. The purpose of processing the data you submit is to manage your application(s) during pre-selection (short-listing for interview) and recruitment processes for open positions at EUMETSAT. Your personal data is not used for any other purpose without your prior consent.

Your application will only be made available to the Interview Board and Staff members who are directly involved in the Selection Process for each particular vacancy.

EUMETSAT will not process your personal data for purposes other than the ones described above nor divulge them for marketing purposes. The personal information we request from you is treated as highly confidential.

How long do we keep your data?

The processing of your data starts from the moment it is submitted and is retained as long as the recruitment process is open, i.e. until a suitable applicant is recruited. Thereafter your full application is kept for a 12-month period and your contact details for 3 years in electronic format. Of course, if you become a Staff member at EUMETSAT, your data will be transferred to our personnel records system.
