EUMETSAT employs staff, consultants/service firms and local employees through differing employment contracts throughout the organisation reflecting the differing organisational needs.

EUMETSAT also funds a number of Research Fellowships for postgraduate students in meteorological applications, offers opportunities for Graduate Meteorological Trainees as well as student placements. These places are well-sought after and very limited. They are advertised in our vacancies page.

The EUMETSAT strategic guidelines set the framework for future activities of the organisation. The implementation of these guidelines led to an approved programme which provides the basis for detailed human resources planning in terms of 10-year Staff requirements with associated 5 year broad skill profiles.
