Monitoring weather and climate from space

EUMETSAT Data Centre

EUMETSAT operates a large Satellite Data Archive, called the EUMETSAT Data Centre. The Mission of the Data Centre is:

  • To guarantee a long-term preservation of data and generated products from EUMETSAT’s meteorological satellites.
  • To enable users to browse, make automated orders and retrieve data from EUMETSAT's catalogue of products.

First established in 1995, the EUMETSAT Data Centre quickly developed to become a state of the art archive serving all EUMETSAT satellite programmes. With over 25 years of meteorological satellite products available, the EUMETSAT Data Centre offers one of Europe’s largest and most comprehensive collections in this field.
