Access to Essential Services:
For most essential services an EKU is not required, however, the reception of some essential services (e.g. EPS GDS) will be dependent upon operating a station fitted with an EKU.
Access to External Services:
Depending upon the requirements of the individual data provider, access to some external services is dependent upon operating a EUMETCast station fitted with an EKU.
