With the Archive Direct Service, users can collect daily archive image files directly from the operational FTP server.

Users need to register on the Earth Observation Portal (EOP) before making use of this service.

Archive Direct has the following features:

• Files contain rectified Meteosat-7 image data for the Indian Ocean Data Services (IODC) older than 24 hours (full earth scans with one file per spectral channel)
• File formats are GIF and OpenMTP in compressed mode*
• Files are held on the operational FTP server in a 7-day rolling buffer
• Users are responsible for pulling the data from the operational FTP server
• There are no restrictions on the quantity of files that users can collect from the operational FTP server
