Data and Products

Data, products and services are made available via EUMETCast, direct dissemination/readout, the Global Telecommunication System (GTS) and FTP over the Internet. EUMETSAT plays an important role in the retransmission of a variety of other satellite data, meteorological products and environmental data generated by our partners and a growing network of external data providers.

EO Portal Registration
By registering with the Earth Observation Portal (EO Portal) users can gain access to, and manage, their subscriptions to data, products and services provided by EUMETSAT.
EUMETSAT Data Centre
The EUMETSAT Data Centre receives and archives images and meteorological products from the satellites. Access to archived data is available for users 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
EUMETCast
EUMETSAT’s primary dissemination mechanism for the near real-time delivery of satellite data and products generated by the EUMETSAT Application Ground Segment. EUMETCast also delivers a range of third-party products.
GTS/RMDCN
The Global Telecommunications System and Regional Meteorological Data Communication Network help provide National Meteorological Services throughout the world with means to receive, send and relay meteorological data and products.
Direct Dissemination
Direct Dissemination is the delivery of data, products and services to a user's reception station, transmitted directly from a Meteosat satellite.
Internet
Internet delivery negates the need for satellite reception station equipment and offers an affordable way to transfer smaller volumes of data and products.

A comprehensive list of companies that supply reception station equipment and software.
Support Software and Tools
EUMETSAT provides a wide variety of software and tools suitable for analysing our data.

Satellite manufacturing demands long-term cooperation with other agencies and dedication to the standardisation of processes and information exchange.
