EUMETSAT publishes 2011 Annual Report

EUMETSAT has published its Annual Report for 2011. This year, the structure and content of this report has been adjusted to better reflect the strategy and activities of the organisation following the approval of its new strategy in June 2011.

The Annual Report contains the following chapters:

  • Member and Cooperating States
  • Operating complex satellite systems around the clock
  • Delivering services and benefits to real-time users
  • Delivering climate services
  • Developing new products in partnership with Member States
  • Supporting and expanding the user base
  • Securing service continuity in the medium term through the deployment of the remaining Metop and MSG satellites
  • Preparing the long-term future with MTG and EPS-SG
  • Supporting the development of operational oceanography
  • Enhancing benefits through cooperation with other satellite operators
  • European and global partnerships
  • Administration and management
  • EUMETSAT’s new strategy
