Joint Research Announcement for OSTST participation

EUMETSAT and the Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales (CNES), the French space agency, have published a Joint Research Announcement calling for research proposals within the framework of the Jason-2/Ocean Surface Topography Mission (J-2/OSTM).

MTG contract signed

On 24 February, the development contract for Europe's third generation of geostationary meteorological satellites was signed between the European Space Agency (ESA) and Thales Alenia Space.

Sentinel-3 Calibration and Validation Meeting

EUMETSAT and the European Space Agency (ESA) are organising a joint planning meeting in Frascati, Italy, on 20-22 March 2012 on the calibration and validation of the Global Monitoring for Environment and Security (GMES) Sentinel-3 satellite instruments.
