MSG-3 launch headlines IMAGE 36 newsletter

The successful launch of EUMETSAT’s third Meteosat Second Generation (MSG-3) geostationary satellite on 5 July and preparations for the launch of its Metop-B polar-orbiting satellite in September is the front page story of the latest edition of the IMAGE newsletter.

EUMETSAT and the International Charter on Space and Major Disasters

Following its signing of the International Charter on Space and Major Disasters on 5 July 2012, EUMETSAT is now a formal participant in the Charter, which was initiated in 1999 following the UNISPACE III Conference in Vienna by the European and French space agencies (ESA and CNES).
