Introduction of BUFR Edition 4

On 7 September 2009, EUMETSAT plans to implement BUFR Edition 4 for the Meteosat Second Generation Meteorological Products and the Metop/NOAA Global Data Service.

The GOME-2 Product Processing Facility (PPF) will be updated to version 4.3.0 on 18th of August 2009.

GOME-2 instrument throughput test in September (week 2)

An additional through-put test will take place in the second week of September 2009, following recommendations put forward by the instrument review board (involving industry and ESA), the GOME Scientific Advisory Group (GSAG), as well as the O3MSAF level 1b data user community.
