MetOp-A Launch Date of 17 July consolidated

The first phase of the MetOp launch campaign at the Baikonur Space Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan has been successfully completed and the planned launch date of 17 July 2006 has therefore been confirmed.

EUMETSAT Meteorological Satellite Conference in Helsinki 2006

Meteorological experts, scientists and researchers representing various agencies and institutions will be meeting from 12 to16 June 2006 for the annual EUMETSAT Meteorological Satellite Conference in Helsinki, hosted by the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI).
