This channel change is necessary due to the DevCoCast project came to an end on 30 September 2011.

Users will need to reconfigure their EUMETCast stations in advance. Instructions of how to do this are given below. Please note that there will be no dual dissemination of these products at any point.

Following this change these products will no longer be available to users on EUMETCast-Americas.

EUMETCast requirements:
For all users on Ku and C-band Africa, files will appear on the channel "TPC-1", multicast address 224.223.222.39 – PID 301.

Installation Instructions:
Add the PID 301 (Europe/Africa) to the DVB configuration (if not already selected). If a wildcard is used in recv-channels.ini (section starting with [*]), no further change is required. If a dedicated target directory is used in the recv-channels.ini, add a section for the TPC-1 with the same target directory, e.g. add the following lines:

[TPC-1]
target_directory=<add the target directory name here>
tmp_directory=<add the temporary directory name here>

Please note that for Linux OS's, users should also update the/etc/eumetcast-channels.cfg file and change the line as below (or replace the original file with the one downloaded from the link below):

The latest file may be viewed [Internal link]here or [Internal link]downloaded.

Stop dvb-eumetcast, e.g.
# /etc/init.d/dvb-eumetcast stop

Edit the /etc/eumetcast-channels.cfg file (or replace the original file with the one downloaded above) and add the line:

"TPC-1                   , 301, 301,     , 224.223.222.39"  \
