WMO survey on the use of satellite data

The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) is seeking feedback on users' experiences using satellite data in meteorological, climate, water, and related environmental applications.

This survey is designed to collect updated information on the worldwide status, plans and related challenges within three major areas:

  1. Access to satellite data and products.
  2. Applications and use of satellite data and products.
  3. Training on satellite utilization.

The responses will help bridge the gaps between the large amount of satellite data available, and the need for improved and easy access to those data, products, tools, derived information, and user training. Information collected through this survey will also shape international action by WMO and its partners, in effectively responding to satellite-specific needs.

The survey is avilable in four languages and should take around 20 minutes to complete. The survey must be completed by 30 June 2012.
