The Precipitation rate at ground by MW cross-track scanners (with indication of phase) – Multimission product (PR-OBS-2) consists of instantaneous precipitation maps from MW images taken by cross-track scanners on operational satellites in sun synchronous orbits.
Typical filename is as follows:
S-HSAF-h02_20120426_0932_noaa19_16571_ath.buf.gz

The Snow detection (snow mask) by VIS/IR radiometry – MSG products (SN-OBS-1) are contours of snow-covered areas, presented as mask-like maps (binary image). VIS/IR images from both LEO and GEO are used.
Typical filenames are as follows:
S-HSAF-h10_20120426_day_FMI.H5.gz
S-HSAF-h10_20120426_day_merged.H5.gz

These products will be distributed over EUMETCast Europe. The EUMETCast details are as follows:

Multicast address: 224.223.222.28

Users already subscribed to H-SAF products will receive these new products automatically. Other users should register for these products via the EO Portal.
