Sun Collinearity interferences impact on EUMETSAT services (updated)

Due to sun interferences on disseminating satellites, users may experience a lower signal margin or outages on EUMETCast.

The exact times and durations of the signal degradation or outages depend on the reception location. Please use the [External link]sun outage calculator to determine the time for your location (enter satellite, location and antenna size).

Additionally for EUMETCast C/Band users only due to the KU/Band relay:

        - C/Band South America users can expect a period of degradation from 04 October 2012 to 13 October 2012 between 11:00 and 11:15 UTC.
        - C/Band Africa users can expect a period of degradation from 05 October 2012 to 13 October 2012 between 11:05 and 11:20 UTC.

Sun Collinearity will affect image data processing for the following image times:

        - Meteosat-8: from from 03 October to 13 October 2012 between 11:02 and 11:18 UTC.
        - Meteosat-9: from 07 October to 17 October 2012 between 11:40 and 11:57 UTC.
