Major Data Centre software release scheduled for the 13th January 2011

In this release, the user registration and login to the Data Centre Archive Online Ordering Application has been integrated into the Single-Sign-On system of the EUMETSAT Earth Observation (EO) Portal.

On Wednesday, 5 January 2011, the GOME-2 level 1 product format version will be updated from 11.0 to 12.0 with an update of the GOME-2 level 0 to 1 processor to version 5.0.

EUMETCast expands global dissemination to include FY-3A data

As part of its growing cooperation with the China Meteorological Administration (CMA), EUMETSAT now receives and disseminates sounding data from the FY-3A polar-orbiting satellite via EUMETCast in response to growing interest from its users in Europe for these data.

IASI L2 Product Processing Facility v5.1.0 entry into operation on 2 December 2010

This engineering upgrade of the IASI Level 2 products includes the provision of atmospheric temperature profiles not only for clear sky fields of view (as in the current version of the product, operational since 14/09/2010), but also in some partly cloudy fields of view.
