EUMETSAT Derived Polar Winds product becomes operational 25 January 2011

Since Tuesday 25 January 2011, the EUMETSAT derived polar wind product has been distributed on the GTS, as well as on EUMETCast. The winds are derived at EUMETSAT from the Metop-A AVHRR-3 images.

Removal of High Resolution GRAS BUFR product scheduled for 9 February, 2011

On 9 February 2011 EUMETSAT will remove its High Resolution GRAS BUFR Product from EUMETCast. This decision has been taken based upon feedback received from the core users of the GRAS Level 1 product, namely GRAS SAF members and Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) Centres.
