RSS Feeds

What is RSS?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds allow you to see when certain websites add new content - without having to visit the web site itself. With EUMETSAT’s RSS feeds, you can receive our news the moment it’s published on the web site.

Getting started with RSS feeds
RSS feed information is accessed via a news reader – an application that checks feeds and lets you read any new articles that have been recently added.

News readers can be downloaded (such as [External link]NewzCrawler), or installed as a browser plug-in ([External link]Firefox Live Bookmarks). Each method offers different benefits. For example, browser-based news readers can let you access your RSS feed subscriptions from any computer, whereas downloaded news readers let you store them on your main computer.

EUMETSAT RSS feeds
You can subscribe to one or more specific media feeds available on the EUMETSAT website, including:

 [Internal link] Features
 [Internal link] Conferences and Events

If you prefer, you can subscribe to EUMETSAT’s combined RSS feed which sends the latest ten articles drawn from all media types listed above.

To subscribe to a EUMETSAT RSS feed, click on an orange RSS button. Depending on your chosen news reader, you can then drag the URL of the RSS feed into your news reader, or cut and paste the URL into a new feed in your news reader.

Note: RSS buttons may not work in older browser versions. We recommend installing the latest browser releases – such as [External link]Firefox 3.5 or [External link]Internet Explorer 8.
