Eutelsat-10A (E10A) satellite, located at 10˚ East, currently used to provide the EUMETCast Europe service, is nearing the end of its operational life. Therefore, a new satellite, Eutelsat-10B (E10B), was launched in November 2022, as a replacement to E10A. Our current two operational transponders will be migrated as follows:
C4, which currently provides the Basic Service (BAS) and High Volume Service 1 (HVS-1), will be replaced by WK10 on E10B.
C3, which currently provides the High Volume Service 2 (HVS-2), will be replaced by WK9 on E10B.
The transponder migration is scheduled to take place between 18 and 20 July 2023, with exact date to be announced in due course.
No action is required on user side. The migration should not affect users, however, a brief service interruption can be expected during the migration.
