Eutelsat-10A (E10A) satellite, located at 10˚ East, currently used to provide the EUMETCast Europe service, is nearing the end of its operational life. Therefore, a new satellite, Eutelsat-10B (E10B), was launched in November 2022, as a replacement to E10A. Our current two operational transponders will be migrated as follows:
C4, which currently provides the Basic Service (BAS) and High Volume Service 1 (HVS-1), will be replaced by EMT 3 on E10B.
C3, which currently provides the High Volume Service 2 (HVS-2), will be replaced by EMT 2 on E10B.
The transponder migration date is scheduled for 24 July from 12:00 to 13:00 UTC.
No action is required on user side. The migration should not affect users, however, a brief service interruption can be expected during the migration.
