The image shows a combined water vapour and infrared image (below -30°C) superimposed with the ECMWF pressure and streamlines of the 300K isentrop level.
Note the strong warm conveyor belt of the eastern Mediterranean cyclone. Rising motion and cloud development can be seen from Egypt to Turkey, descending motion above Lybia. (Credit: OMSZ, Hungary)
