NESDIS IMS Daily Northern Hemisphere Snow and Ice Analysis dataset will be available on EUMETCast from 16 December 2021.

The data are NESDIS IMS (Interactive Multisensor Snow and Ice Mapping System) Daily Northern Hemisphere Snow and Ice Analysis dataset, at 1x1 km spatial resolution, in GRIB2 format.

The Northern Hemisphere Snow and Ice Analysis dataset consists of 2 files per day of 3 file types (snow, ice, time information), so there is a total of 6 files per day with a total daily volume of ~11MB.

Example file names for the three file types:

NIC.IMS_snow_v3_202115300_1km.GRIB2.gz

NIC.IMS_ice_v3_202115400_1km.GRIB2.gz

NIC.IMS_time_v3_202115700_1km.GRIB2.gz

The data will be distributed on EUMETCast Terrestrial:

Channel: T01-TPL-1
Multicast address: 232.223.222.35
