NetCDF versions of H SAF precipitation products available soon
NetCDF versions of H SAF H01 and H02B precipitation products will be available from 18 March 2021.

The H01 product is the Precipitation rate at ground by MW conical scanners. It provides instantaneous precipitation maps (mm/hr) generated from MW conical scanning radiometers in sun synchronous orbit.
The H02B product is the Precipitation rate at ground by MW cross-track scanners. It provides instantaneous precipitation maps (mm/hr) generated from MW cross-track scanning radiometers in sun synchronous orbit and is currently based on data from AMSU-A/MHS onboard Metop and NOAA satellites.
These products are currently available in BUFR format. The new netCDF version of these operational products will be available from 18 March and are planned to supersede the BUFR products on 19 April 2021.
The netCDF products will be distributed on EUMETCast as follows:

The H02B product will also be distributed on EUMETCast Africa:
Multicast address: 220.127.116.11
Users already subscribed to receive H SAF products via EUMETCast will receive these new products automatically. Other users wishing to receive these products should register via our Earth Observation Portal.
