Aeolus ALADIN Level 2B wind products available on EUMETCast and the GTS from 19 May 2020.

ALADIN (Atmospheric Laser Doppler Instrument) on Aeolus is the first wind lidar in space. It is designed to probe the lowermost 30 km of the atmosphere to provide profiles of wind, aerosols and clouds along the satellite orbital path. The Level 2B product consists of pressure and temperature corrected Horizontal Line-Of-Sight (HLOS) wind profiles generated by ECMWF.

The products will be distributed on EUMETCast as follows:

EUMETCast Terrestrial

The products will also be distributed on the GTS, with bulletin header: INDX01 ECMF.
