New OSI SAF Sea Ice Concentration product on EUMETCast soon

This new Sea Ice Concentration product from OSI SAF, with ID OSI-410, has an operational status. It is computed from SSMIS and AMSR-2 Level 1 data. It is delivered up to 15 times per day for each SSMIS satellite (F16, F17, F18), and 30 times per day for AMSR-2. The difference in frequency is due to differences in the reception frequencies of input data. SSMIS data are received once per each full orbit while AMSR-2 data are received per half-orbit.

Note: It will also be distributed on the OSI SAF HL FTP server hosted by MET Norway.

Users already subscribed to receive OSI SAF products via EUMETCast will receive this new product automatically. Other users wishing to receive the product should register via our Earth Observation Portal (Earth Observation Portal (EOP)).
