New OSI SAF Sea Surface Temperature product on EUMETCast soon

The new OSI SAF North Atlantic Regional Sea Surface Temperature (NAR SST), with product ID OSI-202-c, is an upgrade to the existing OSI SAF NAR SST product with ID OSI-202-b. The main change in OSI-202-c is that SNPP input data have been replaced with NOAA-20 data, resulting in a change in timestamp. The two SNPP files with timestamp 02:00 and 13:00 UTC are replaced by two NOAA-20 files with timestamp 01:00 and 12:00 UTC. There is no change to the two files per day which are based on Metop-B data, with timestamp 10:00 and 20:00 UTC.

OSI-202-c will supersede OSI-202-b on 19 November.

The new OSI-202-c product has been validated against in situ measurements.

Users already subscribed to receive OSI SAF data via EUMETCast will receive this new product automatically. Other users wishing to receive this product should register via our Earth Observation Portal (EOP).
