06 May 2021
This update is addressing improvements in the SLSTR L1 Instrument Processing Facility (IPF), v6.18 mainly for products affected by manoeuvres, related to improved flagging and geolocation accuracy before and after the manoeuvre. This change also improves the quality of corresponding SLSTR L2 products (SST, AOD, FRP), increasing the number of products with nominal quality.
Summary of changes:
- improved product quality before and after the manoeuvres: nominal geolocation accuracy and flagging for products not directly within manoeuvres;
- removed artefacts observed in the short products generated around ANX time;
- corrected valid min and max attributes associated with the Cartesian Y dataset.
Example of improvements in the SLSTR L2 SST product is shown in Figure 1, where an additional orbit is added to the products with the nominal quality. More information will be provided at the time of deployment in the SLSTR L1 Product Notice listed on the Sea Surface Temperature Services page.
