A new Processing Baseline (PB), v2.75, for the Sentinel-3 SLSTR L1 products is planned to be released on 18 May 2021.

This update is addressing improvements in the SLSTR L1 Instrument Processing Facility (IPF), v6.18 mainly for products affected by manoeuvres, related to improved flagging and geolocation accuracy before and after the manoeuvre. This change also improves the quality of corresponding SLSTR L2 products (SST, AOD, FRP), increasing the number of products with nominal quality.

Summary of changes:

  • improved product quality before and after the manoeuvres: nominal geolocation accuracy and flagging for products not directly within manoeuvres
  • removed artefacts observed in the short products generated around ANX time
  • corrected valid min and max attributes associated with the Cartesian Y dataset
