Pilot NOAA Direct Broadcast Service (NDB) to include ATOVS data
The pilot NDB Service will include ATOVS data from 12 September.

The NDB Service currently comprises Level-1 ATMS, CrIS and IASI BUFR data from the SNPP and Metop satellites.
From 12 September, the service will be extended to include Level-1 ATOVS BUFR data from the Metop-A, -B and -C, and NOAA-18 and -19 satellites.
The data will be distributed on the following EUMETCast channels:
EUMETCast Europe, Basic Service
Channel: EUMETSAT Data Channel 1
Multicast address: 224.223.222.1
PID: 500
EUMETCast Terrestrial
Channel: T01-NPP-2
Multicast address: 232.223.222.2

Note: the EARS-ATOVS data from the USA, currently disseminated on EUMETSAT Data Channel 1, will be stopped at the end of December 2019.

Users currently subscribed to EARS-ATOVS data via EUMETCast will be given automatic access to the new NDB ATOVS data. Other users wishing to receive the NDB ATOVS data via EUMETCast should register via our Earth Observation Portal (EOP).
