
Change to OSFAC and ECOWAS products distribution


OSFAC and ECOWAS products will be distributed on new EUMETCast channels from 3 August 2021.

Products from OSFAC (Observatoire Satellital des Forêts d'Afrique Centrale) and from the ECOWAS Coastal and Marine Resources Management Centre (listed below) are distributed on EUMETCast Europe, EUMETCast Africa and EUMETCast Terrestrial.

Sea Surface Temperature Forecast — West Africa
Sea Surface Salinity Forecast — West Africa
Wave Height Forecast — West Africa
UG-MESA Potential Fishing Zone Maps
Sea Surface Currents Forecast — West Africa
The distribution channels for EUMETCast Europe and EUMETCast Terrestrial will change as follows:
EUMETCast Europe
Current channel: EUMETCast Data Channel 14
New channel (from 03/08/2021): E1B-TPC-6 (PID 301, Multicast Address: 224.223.222.39)
EUMETCast Terrestrial
Current channel: T01-EDC-14
New channel (from 03/08/2021): T01-TPC-6 (Multicast Address: 232.223.222.26)
The distribution channel for EUMETCast Africa remains unchanged.
User actions
Tellicast client changes on EUMETCast Europe
To receive the new channel data on a dedicated target directory, users need to edit cast-client-channels_bas.ini and add the following sections:

target_directory=<target dir…>
tmp_directory=<tmp dir…>
Otherwise the data will be received under the target directory of the default channel (name=*) if it is defined.

To receive the new channel data on a dedicated target directory, users need to edit cast-client-channels_ter-1.ini and add the following sections:

Otherwise the data will be received under the target directory of the default channel (name=*) if it is defined.
