The EARS-VIIRS NOAA-20 data will be distributed on EUMETCast Europe, Basic Service, using the NPP-2 channel, the same as EARS-ATMS and EARS-CrIS data. However, from 9 April, the EARS-VIIRS data from Suomi-NPP which are currently distributed on the NPP-2 channel, will be transferred to the High Volume Service, Transponder 1 (HVS-1), Channel E1H-RDS-1 (PID: 601, Multicast address: To be able to continue receiving EARS-VIIRS Suomi-NPP data, users need to ensure that they have a working EUMETCast High Volume Service reception.

Users already subscribed to any of these EARS services will receive the corresponding NOAA-20 data automatically. Other users wishing to receive these data should register via our Earth Observation Portal (EOP).
