On the morning of 27 December Germany was affected by a large area of fog.

The Meteosat-10 High Resolution Visible animation shows the extensive area of fog over Germany on 27 November. The fog is more or less static and so can be can be distinguished from higher cloud which can be seen moving in the animation. Snow on the Alps is also visible in these images.
The fog and above the fog could also be seen on the webcam at Bergstrasse, Melibokus near Darmstadt.
