The first operational Copernicus Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich products will be released on 22 June 2021.

The products include Low Resolution Level 1B and Level 2 products from the Poseidon-4 Altimeter as well as Level 2 products from the Advanced Microwave Radiometer (AMR).

The table below lists the products to be released on 22 June, the available timeliness, and their distribution means. Links to our Product Navigator are also provided for full information on the products (including example filenames).

*These products will be available on the second EUMETCast Terrestrial service (ter-2). In order to receive these products you need to have installed the latest tellicast-client version (V2.14.7) and to enable the ter-2 instance in the tellicast-client.cfg file:
If ter-1 is already active on your reception station then:
INSTANCE_START_ORDER=ter-1,ter-2
Otherwise
INSTANCE_START_ORDER=ter-2

Note: The following products, in NTC (Non Time Critical) timeliness, will also be available via the Data Centre from 22 June. However, they are still undergoing validation and do not yet have an operational status:

  • Low Resolution Poseidon-4 Level 1B Altimetry product in NTC
  • Low Resolution Poseidon-4 Level 2 Altimetry product in NTC
  • Advanced Microwave Radiometer Level 2 product in NTC

Users wishing to access the Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich products listed in the table above should register via our Earth Observation Portal (EOP). For SFTP access, upon registration via our EOP, access link and credentials will be provided via email.
