NOAA has announced that the SNPP and NOAA-20 CrIS Sensor Data Records (SDRs), currently distributed on EUMETCast, will have their version number changed from v2r0 to v3r0.
This change will be reflected in the filenames:
Current filenames
SNPP: W_XX-EUMETSAT-Darmstadt,SOUNDING+SATELLITE,NPP+CrIS_C_EUMP_20170730220607_v2r0_SDR.bin
NOAA-20: W_XX-EUMETSAT-Darmstadt,SOUNDING+SATELLITE,NOAA20+CrIS_C_EUMP_20180508115903_v2r0_SDR.bin
New filenames
SNPP: W_XX-EUMETSAT-Darmstadt,SOUNDING+SATELLITE,NPP+CrIS_C_EUMP_20221117093959_v3r0_SDR.bin
NOAA-20: W_XX-EUMETSAT-Darmstadt,SOUNDING+SATELLITE,NOAA20+CrIS_C_EUMP_20221117093959_v3r0_SDR.bin
This change will also affect the CrIS Sensor Data Records reduced spectral samples distributed on the GTS.
There is no scientific update associated with this version change.
