Update to NASA’s GPM-Core GMI data

This will affect the GMI (GPM Microwave Imager) data distributed on EUMETCast:

• GMI Level 1C Brightness Temperature in BUFR format
• GMI GPROF Level 2 Precipitation product in HDF-5 format

On 9 May, the GPM NRT algorithm will be updated to version 7, involving format changes and changes to file naming.

Details on the format changes

File naming for the GMI L2 products will be updated as follows:

2A.GPM.GMI.GPROF2021v1.20140601-S071552-E084825.V07A.RT-H5

Filenames of the GMI L1c BUFR products will remain unchanged:

W_XX-EUMETSAT-Darmstadt,SOUNDING+SATELLITE,GPM+GMI+S2_C_EUMP_20220425111700_111723_112221_L1C.bin. bz2
