Updated Atlantic High Latitude radiative flux products from OSI SAF available soon

OSI SAF updated Atlantic High Latitude radiative flux products available on EUMETCast from 4 June 2020.

The products are:

  • Atlantic High Latitude Downward Longwave Irradiance (AHL DLI, ID: OSI-301-b)
  • Atlantic High Latitude Surface Solar Irradiance (AHL SSI, ID: OSI-302-b)

They are new versions of the current OSI-301 and OSI-302 products. The main changes are algorithm improvements to extend the products over sea ice and overall quality improvement. Also, the two products are now delivered in one common netCDF4 file, instead of two separate GRIB files. Both products have operational status.

Users already subscribed to OSI SAF products via EUMETCast will receive these updated products automatically. Other users wishing to receive these products should register via our Earth Observation Portal (EOP).
