The Clean-up your space! Competition asks entrants to transform litter from their local environment into a space-y model based on a EUMETSAT satellite or facility.

On offer to the three best efforts are some amazing prizes, including a GoPro HERO6.

“Through our youth-oriented Learning Zone website we asked people to suggest ideas for our annual competition and we were delighted to see so many suggestions focusing on recycling and cleaning up our planet,” EUMETSAT Head of Strategy, Communication and International Relations Paul Counet said.

“We listened! Waste has a very negative effect on the Earth’s natural resources and we hope this competition will help highlight the problem.

“Entrants will be asked to submit a video or images of where they collected their waste and how they transformed it. Of course, we encourage entrants to recycle their model after they’ve submitted their entry.”

Details about the competition, prizes and rules can be found on the L-Zone. The competition runs until 16 September.
