EUMETSAT’s future focus – a new era approaches

In a time of changing weather patterns and a changing climate, the need for more and accurate information about planet Earth is acute.

EUMETSAT is currently preparing for the deployment of the next generations of its geostationary and low-Earth orbit satellite systems, which will herald a new era in weather prediction and climate monitoring.

This video gives an insight into the benefits of these new systems for EUMETSAT’s 30 Member States and their citizens.

The video was made by ITN Productions and is part of a series of short films made for the UK’s Royal Society of Biology, which is marking its 10th anniversary.
