Jason-3 high-precision ocean altimetry satellite delivers sea surface height measurement data in near-real time.
Jason-3 will secure the continuity of the unique climate data record of the mean sea level initiated by Topex-Poseidon in 1992 and continued by Jason-1 and Jason-2.
The Jason-3 measurements of ocean waves and ocean surface topography will be essential inputs to numerical forecasts of sea state and ocean currents and to other applications in the areas of marine meteorology and operational oceanography.
Jason-3 measurements will also be ingested by Numerical prediction models coupling the atmosphere and the oceans used for seasonal forecasting.
The products will be available in:
- Near-Real-Time (NRT): products shall be available to the users within three hours after sensing.
- Non-Time-Critical (NTC): products available to the users within one month after sensing.

How to get Jason-3 data
Users need to be registered to get access to the Jason-3 products. To do this you need to use our Earth Observation Portal (EOP). To access the Earth Observation Portal (EOP) for the first time, users need to create an account. Once the account has been created, you can log in to view and modify your profile, service subscriptions and licence arrangements.
