The Natural Colour RGB images used in the movie are taken from EUMETSAT's Meteosat-10 satellite.

In the early part of the animation Typhoon Noru can be seen over the Pacific. Noru was the second-longest-lasting tropical cyclone of the Northwest Pacific Ocean, lasting from 19 July-9 August.

Later in August parts of Texas were left devastated following severe floods caused by Hurricane Harvey. Harvey first appears on the imagery on 18 August. A very clear eye can be seen over the US on 25/26 August.
