The annual EUMETSAT Meteorological Satellite Conference

The 2015 EUMETSAT Meteorological Satellite Conference (#EMSC2015) took place from 21 to 25 September in the historic city of Toulouse.

Situated between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, Toulouse, with its beautiful centre, is one of the most vibrant cities in France. Long an aviation centre – St-Exupéry and Mermoz flew out from here on their pioneering airmail flights in the 1920s – Toulouse is now home to Thales Alenia Space, Airbus, EADS, the European shuttle programme, leading aeronautical schools, and frontier-pushing electronics industry. EUMETSAT was joined in the organisation and hosting of the event by Météo-France, the national provider for weather and climate services in France.
