New Sentinel-3A Land Products for Africa soon on EUMETCast

Sentinel-3A Land Products for Africa will be available on EUMETCast Africa from 3 December 2018.

The first set of products, originally generated by ESA, have been subsetted by EUMETSAT to an Area of Interest limited to the African continent. They are in S3 SAFE format.

The products are listed below, together with information on filenames, file size and frequency, and the EUMETCast channels on which they will be distributed. In future some of the initial products will be substituted with new products coming from either ESA or EUMETSAT once these become available. In addition, once the equivalent Sentinel-3B products have been declared operational these will also be added to this service.

Full Resolution Land and Atmosphere parameters in Non-Time Critical timeliness
   
Product Acronym OL_2_LFR___NTC
Description: Land and Atmospheric geophysical products at full spatial resolution (300m) containing the OLCI
(Ocean and Land Colour Instrument) Global Vegetation Index and the OLCI Terrestrial Chlorophyll Index measurements.
These products have a Non-Time Critical (NTC) timeliness and they are available in less than 30 days with a typical value of two days.

Land Surface Temperature in Non-Time Critical timeliness
   
Product Acronym SL_2_LST___NTC
Description: Land Surface products (spatial resolution 1Km) containing the measurement of the Land Surface Temperature taken from the Sea and Land Surface Temperature Radiometer (SLSTR).
These products have a Non-Time Critical (NTC) timeliness and they are available in less than 30 days with a typical value of two days.

and waveforms over land taken from the Synthetic-Aperture Radar Altimeter (SRAL) instrument.
These products have a Short-Time Critical (STC) timeliness and they are available in less than 3 days with a target of two days.

SYNERGY Level 2 in Non-Time Critical timeliness
   
Product Acronym SY_2_SYN__NTC
Description: Synergy products are the combination of the products of OLCI and SLSTR instruments.
These products contain aerosol parameters over land, specifically: Level-2 aerosol optical thickness at 550 nm (referenced as T550) with error estimates and Level-2 Angstrom coefficient (referenced as A550) at a reference waveband of 550 nm.
These products have a Non-Time Critical (NTC) timeliness and they are available in less than 30 days. The delivery of SY_2_SYN NTC products will be discontinued once the SY_2_SYN Short-Time Critical (STC) or the SLSTR Level-2 AOD product (SL_2_AOD) Near Real Time (NRT) are declared operational.

V10 SYNERGY Level 2 in Non-Time Critical timeliness
   
Product Acronym SY_2_V10__NTC
Description: Synergy products are the combination of the products of OLCI and SLSTR instruments.
These product contain the Normalised Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI).
They have a Non-Time Critical (NTC) timeliness and they are available in less than 30 days.
Their delivery will be discontinued once the SY_2_V10 Short-Time Critical (STC) are declared operational.
