Release of Sentinel-3B STM Level-1 and Marine Level 2 Products

From 6 December 2018, Sentinel-3B STM Level-1 and Marine Level-2 Products will be available at Near Real Time (NRT), Short Time Critical (STC) and Non Time Critical (NTC) timeliness.

Release of Sentinel-3B STM Level-1 and Marine Level 2 Products

These data are the first Sentinel-3B STM (Surface Topography Mission) data products to be released after the successful completion of the Sentinel-3B commissioning phase.

The Sentinel-3 Product Notices for STM Level-1 and for Level-2 Marine provide information on the SRAL/MWR current processing baseline, product quality, known limitations, and product availability status.

They are relevant for both Sentinel-3A and Sentinel-3B STM data products.

The Sentinel-3B STM products can be accessed via the four means listed below.

The Level 2 products will be distributed on:

  • EUMETCast Europe (Second Transponder High Volume Service), channel E2H-S3B-06 (PID: 610, Multicast address: 224.223.224.13).
  • EUMETCast Africa, channel A1C-S3B-06 (PID: 100, Multicast address: 224.223.225.6).

2. EUMETCast Terrestrial (for the products in NRT and STC timeliness)

To access the products via EUMETCast Terrestrial, users need to be eligible for access to a National Research and Education Network (NREN) which supports multicasting. Users with access to a suitable NREN can request access to the EUMETCast Terrestrial service via our Earth Observation Portal (EOP).

The Level 1 products will be distributed on channel T01-S3B-05 (Multicast address: 232.223.222.9).
The Level 2 products will be distributed on channel T01-S3B-06 (Multicast address: 232.223.222.9).

NOTE: If you are already subscribed to Sentinel-3A SRAL products via EUMETCast Terrestrial, from 6 December you will receive the corresponding Sentinel-3B SRAL products automatically — no additional registration is required.

3. Copernicus Online Data Access (CODA) service

CODA is an online rolling archive with http access to Sentinel-3 Level 1 and Level 2 (Marine) global data in different latency modes.

4. EUMETSAT Data Centre

The Data Centre is accessible via our Earth Observation Portal (EOP)).

To receive Sentinel-3B UNS (User Notification Service) alerts by email, make sure you update your UNS subscriptions via our Earth Observation Portal (EOP).
