Metop-C data will be added to the following regional services:
- EARS-ATOVS (MHS and AMSU-A)
- Metop-C data will be added to the EARS-IASI service at a later stage
- Metop-C data will be added to the EARS-NWC service when Metop-C is declared the prime operational Metop spacecraft, at which time the Metop-C data will replace the Metop-B data in the EARS-NWC service.
The data will be distributed on EUMETCast Europe, Basic Service, using the following channel:
EUMETSAT Data Channel 1
Multicast address: 126.96.36.199
In addition, the Metop-C EARS-ASCAT data will be distributed on EUMETCast Africa (as with Metop-A and Metop-B EARS-ASCAT), using the following channel:
Multicast address: 188.8.131.52
Example filenames are provided in the table below:
|EARS-ASCAT||Ocean Surface Winds at 25 km: ascat_20190401_121707_metopc_02068_ear_o_250_sva_ovw.l2_bufr
Coastal Winds at 12.5 km: ascat_20190401_121707_metopc_02068_ear_o_coa_sva_ovw.l2_bufr
Metop-C EARS-ATOVS and EARS-ASCAT data will also be distributed on the GTS, as is the case for the Metop-A and Metop-B data:
