Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Information on measures taken at EUMETSAT in the context of the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Tuesday, 14 July 2020

In order to apply the decisions made in Germany, across Europe and worldwide to contain the Covid-19 pandemic, as of the 16th March EUMETSAT implemented a set of health and sanitary measures that are regularly updated to reflect the evolution of the situation.

Staff and contractors are currently being progressively asked to come back physically to the Headquarters, however this return is organised in a very safe, limited, potentially reversible, fair and open manner.

Visits to EUMETSAT by external guests continue to be suspended, except for business critical meetings.

Although the organisation remains in capacity to ensure continuity of its business and services, its response to anomalies, user requests etc. in these exceptional circumstances may not always match its usual level of performance.

The above measures apply until further notice. The EUMETSAT management is constantly monitoring the situation and this page will be kept up to date.
