The ground segment constitutes the ground-based infrastructure necessary to support the operation of our satellites, including the control of our spacecraft in orbit, and the acquisition, reception, processing and delivery of their data.
The EUMETSAT multimission ground network is made up of a central mission control, located at EUMETSAT headquarters; primary and backup ground stations for satellite control and data acquisition, and a distributed application ground segment for the generation of processed data and products.
