Public release of Metop-C global IASI Level 2 products

Metop-C global IASI Level 2 products will be available on EUMETCast and on the GTS from 24 October.

The global IASI Level 2 products from Metop-C, based on IASI Level 2 Product Processing Facility (PPF) version 6.4, have been successfully validated and have operational quality.

The Product Validation Report will be made available soon.

The products include:

Cloud Parameters (CLP)
Surface Emissivity (EMS)
Trace Gases (TRG)
Ozone (OZO)
Atmospheric Temperature Water Vapour and Surface Skin Temperature (TWT)
Atmospheric Temperature Water Vapour and Surface Skin Temperature Error Estimate (TWT_ERR)
Sulphur Dioxide (SO2) (AC SAF product)
Carbon Monoxide Profiles FORLI-CO (COx) (AC SAF product)

Example filenames:
W_XX-EUMETSAT-Darmstadt,SOUNDING+SATELLITE,METOPC+IASI_C_EUMR_20190918221457_04488_eps_o_(clp|ems|trg|ozo|twt|err|so2|cox)_l2.bin

The products will be distributed on EUMETCast, as follows:

EUMETCast Europe, Basic Service (for all products):

Channel: EPS-Africa
Multicast address: 224.223.222.227
PID: 301

EUMETCast Africa (for all products except the TWT_ERR)

Channel: A1C-EPS-G
Multicast address: 224.223.225.2
PID: 100

NOTE: On EUMETCast Africa, the Metop-A global IASI L2 data flow will stop on 24/10/2019 and will be replaced with the Metop-C global IASI L2 data flow.

EUMETCast Terrestrial (for all products):

Channel: T01-EPS-C-11
Multicast address: 232.223.222.14

The products, except for the TWT_ERR and COx, will also be distributed on the GTS.
