Looking at the long-term future of Copernicus, the EC released a call for a two-year project, aimed at consulting the users of the services on their prospective needs. The GMES-PURE project (Partnership for User Requirements Evaluation), an FP7 Coordination and Support Action, will support the EC in capturing current and emerging requirements of marine and atmosphere users which will eventually guide the future evolution of the services and the necessary space observation infrastructure.

In this context, we invite all users of the current Copernicus marine service, delivered in the context of the MyOcean2 project, as well as new and potential users and interested parties, to attend the GMES-PURE Marine user requirements consolidation workshop. This workshop will:

  • bring together experienced users of the current pre-operational marine service and new or potential users to share their experiences and questions;

  • collect feedback on the current marine service; and

  • discuss and consolidate requirements for the medium and long-term evolution of the service.
