The Amazon rainforest is the world’s largest rainforest and plays a key role in regulating the Earth’s climate by absorbing carbon dioxide. It is also an irreplacable biodiversity hotspot and the region is home to millions of people.
Since 2020, EUMETSAT has been running the Early Career Scientists (ECS) Initiative, a celebration of the excellent research and operations work done by those in the beginning of their careers.
