The China Meteorological Administration's FY-4A satellite is delivering Geostationary Interferometric Infrared Sounder data from onboard the Hyperspectral Infrared Sounder (GIIRS) as of yesterday, 24 April.

The GIIRS data is now available from EUMETSAT via EUMETCast Terrestrial and will be important for us and our users in preparing for the delivery of data from the Infrared Sounder (IRS) instrument onboard the future Meteosat Third Generation (MTG) series of European geostationary meteorological satellites.
