EUMETSAT extends coverage of direct readout of Metop data

EUMETSAT has extended the existing coverage of direct readout of data from the instruments on board its Metop polar-orbiting satellite via the Advanced High Resolution Picture Transmission (AHRPT) system, making the data available to more users globally

Jason-3 delivers first data and products four days after launch

Four days after its launch on 17 January, the Jason-3 high-precision ocean altimetry satellite is delivering its first sea surface height measurement data in near-real time for evaluation by engineers from the Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales (CNES), EUMETSAT, the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and scientists from the international Ocean Surface Topography Science Team.

EUMETSAT to provide real-time Suomi-NPP data to Copernicus Marine and Atmosphere Services

EUMETSAT has been designated by the European Commission as the provider of data from the Suomi-NPP polar-orbiting satellite of the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to the Copernicus marine and atmosphere services, for a period of 17 months. Copernicus is an EU programme for monitoring the Earth environment and security.
