The EUMETSAT multimission ground network is made up of a central mission control, located at EUMETSAT headquarters; primary and backup ground stations for satellite control and data acquisition, and a distributed application ground segment for the generation of processed data and products.
The Central Facility is responsible for the generation of level 1 data and level 2 products.
The EUMETSAT Mission Control Centres (MCC) are responsible for the safe operations of all our satellites.
Metop ground segment
The EUMETSAT Polar System (EPS) ground station is located on Spitsbergen, Svalbard.
MTG ground segment
The ground segment will acquire data from MTG satellites, generate, archive and distribute data.
EPS-SG ground segment
The EPS-SG Overall Ground Segment (OGS) will support the ground functions required to meet the EPS-SG Missions objectives.
